How to make a GIF on iPhone or iPad

After finding the #images share favorite on Apple Messages, I wondered if there was a way to make a GIF right on iPhone / iPad. There is here is what I found.

Make a GIF using Shortcuts

1. Open the Shortcuts application.

2. Go to All Shortcuts

3. Click +

4. Search for ‘gif’

5. Select Make GIF

6. Configure it to prompt for selecting a photo

7. Press play button to run the new shortcut

8. Select video to convert

9. After conversion

10. Click the share button and save as an image or file
